5 Tips To Help Get You Inspired

Don’t you hate being a creative person and want to start a new project, but you have no idea what you should do next, and you have no inspiration?

That is something that I struggle with often as a blogger and writer.

I will get these urges to want to write something and I have plenty of ideas, but the moment I pull up a word document, I just draw a complete blank.

As I have worked through this issue on my own I have found 6 six things that have really help me get inspired to get back in my zone when it comes to writing.

Here are 5 tips to help get you inspired.

1. Read something.

It can be a book, a magazine, a blog post, anything! I have found that reading books really helps with getting my imagination going when I am trying to write a short story (I’m working on a book that is going to be a collection of shot stories. Super exciting stuff for me.) and I read blog posts when I need inspiration to start blogging again.

The point of this is to help you get your creative juices flowing and start generating new ideas for new projects and content.

2. Listen to music.

Who doesn’t enjoy music? Music has a special way of making us feel things, and sometimes listening to music may be all we need to do to start feeling happy and confident enough to start working on something new.

Don’t underestimate the power of music. Try putting on something that makes you happy, and has good memories attached to it, and watch you feel super inspired and ready to dive into your next creative project.

3. Go for a walk.5 Ti[s To Help You Get Inspired | As A Creative

Take a stroll through the park. Go on a hike. Visit a garden. Just get out in the world and be one with nature.

Observe the things around you, and let you thoughts wander and try to be at peace.

Once you get home I am sure you will feel more inspired than you were before.

4. Watch a movie TV.

Maybe you are the kind of person that doesn’t like to read, or maybe you’re just a visual person. ┬áSo why not sit down and watch a movie or two, something you have never seen before. Same goes for TV shows.

I don’t know about you, but when I watch something, good or bad, it always leaves me inspired.

If the movie I watched was good, I am inspired and want to create something similar with my own twist. But if the movie was bad I say, “I could have wrote something better than that,” so then I challenge myself to do it lol!

This is my favorite way to get inspired and I’m sure it could become one of your favorites as well.

5. Be nosy.

Now I know this one will seem a little extra, but it’s actually quite fun!

When you are in a public place around others, listen in to other people’s conversations and let them inspire you.

Maybe you’ll hear someone say they wish they had some kind of product that would be useful for them, and boom you get inspired to make the product and you end up creating it and you make a ton of money off of it.

Okay maybe that example was a little dramatic and unrealistic, but hey that’s me for ya! I’m very dramatic and unrealistic.

But my point is…

That you never know what out there in the world will inspire you, and these things are fairly easy and simple to help you get out of your funk.

What kinds of things do you do to help yourself get inspired? Leave a comment and let me know.

See you in my next post!
